Setup
The setup process for this app differs between 'Online Store 2.0 themes' and 'older themes'.Please check which Shopify theme you are using and proceed with the setup accordingly.
In the initial setup, we will guide you through the process of displaying a table of contents in your blog posts.
note: If you do not have any blog posts containing headings or any published blog posts, please create and publish a blog post with headings first.
Online Store 2.0 Theme Setup
Representative themes compatible with Online Store 2.0
Dawn, Refresh, Craft, Sense, Ride, Taste, Impulse, Prestige, Symmetry, Pipeline, Expanse, Impact, Empire, Focal, etc.
※ Some versions of Shopify themes may not be compatible with Online Store 2.0.
Set up during onboarding
Select the heading to use for the table of contents.
Add an app block to your Shopify theme.
Set up from the app's management screen
Customize the table of contents
Click "Customize" in the "Customize Table of Contents" section on the app's top page
From the "Customize Table of Contents" screen, set the headings to be used for generating the table of contents and the design of the table of contents
Click "Save" in the top right corner of the screen
2. Add an app block to your Shopify theme
From the "Add the app to theme" section on the app's top page, select the Shopify theme where you want to install the app
Click "Add app block"
Add an app block named "Table of Contents" in the theme editor
Click "Save" in the top right corner of the screen
Vintage Theme Setup
Representative themes compatible with the Vintage theme
Debut, Minimal, Narrative, Supply, etc.
Set up during onboarding
Select the headings to be used for the table of contents
Activate the embedded app
Set up from the app's management screen
Customize the table of contents
Click "Customize" in the "Customize Table of Contents" section on the app's top page
From the "Customize Table of Contents" screen, set the headings to be used for generating the table of contents and the design of the table of contents
Click "Save" in the top right corner of the screen
note: Please note that for Vintage themes, the option to "Specify in Theme Editor" for the table of contents display position is not available.
2. Enable the embedded app from your Shopify theme
From the "Add the app to theme" section on the app's top page, select the Shopify theme where you want to install the app
Click "Add app block"
Click the "Embedded apps" menu on the left side of the screen
Enable the embedded app named "Article (Vintage theme)"
Click "Save" in the top right corner of the screen
